The winners of awards which celebrate the region’s property and construction industry are set to be announced – with several Marketing Derby Bondholders in the running for prizes.

The East Midlands Brick Awards, organised by Business Link Magazine, highlight the outstanding work of those shaping the landscape of the region.

They recognise development projects and people in commercial and public building – from offices, industrial and residential, through to community projects such as leisure schemes and schools.

This year’s awards are set to take place at Trent Bridge Cricket Ground, in Nottingham, on Thursday – with Marketing Derby managing director John Forkin lined up as the keynote speaker.

Among those competing for the Most Active Agent title are OMEETO and BB&J Commercial.

Meanwhile, Clowes Developments is shortlisted in the Commercial Development of the Year category for Etiquette Park.

St James Securities, the company delivering the Becketwell regeneration scheme, is up for two awards.

It is vying for Deal of the Year for securing a deal with ASM Global to operate a 3,500-capacity performance venue, which will be built as part of phase two of the scheme.

It will compete for the title alongside Morgan Industrial Properties, which is shortlisted for its acquisition of the former Ewart Chain site, in Shaftesbury Street, Derby.

St James Securities will also contest the Developer of the Year category.

Bondholders Pick Everard and Chevin Homes are both shortlisted for the Excellence in Design Award, while Scenariio will compete for the Sustainable Development of the Year title for its refurbishment of the Derby headquarters of LKAB Minerals.

The overall winner will be announced at the awards ceremony.
