Derbion has announced that Children First Derby will be its new charity partner for 2023.

As part of its Derbion Cares initiative, the retail and leisure and destination invited charities to put themselves forward to be its charity partner – and received more than 40 applications.

It has now selected Children First Derby, a charity that aims to relieve the distress and suffering of children in the local area by providing life-changing support to vulnerable children, young people and families.

As Derbion’s charity partner, Children First Derby will receive support throughout the year through fundraising, free in-centre activity space, staff volunteer time, centre resource and more.

Last year, Derbion Cares provided three local charities –  YMCA Derbyshire, Safe and Sound and RSPCA Derby & District with over £37,000 worth of support.

Beth McDonald, managing director at Derbion, said: “After such a successful first year of Derbion Cares, we’re proud to announce Children First Derby as our charity partner for 2023.

“We’re excited to have the opportunity to work closely with Children First Derby to create a series of impactful activations that will benefit the charity, young people and families in the wider Derby community.”
