Several Marketing Derby Bondholders have been shortlisted for the annual Mainframe Awards.

Organised by Mainframe, an initiative based at QUAD, the awards highlight and recognise digital and creative businesses across Derby and Derbyshire.

Now, it has revealed the nominees for its 2022 awards – and a number of Bondholders have made the shortlists.

Among the nominees for the Make and Trade Award is one of Marketing Derby’s newest Bondholders, Lesley So, founder of drinks firm So Good Kombucha.

So Good Kombucha was the winner of Marketing Derby’s Rising Star competition and Lesley recently delivered the Dare to Dream slot at the inward investment agency’s Annual Business Event.

In the Best Local Network category, Derby Swap Shop, the winner of the 2021 Rising Star competition, will be vying for honours, alongside Derby’s Finest, which is backed by Claire Twells, from Smith Partnership and Amanda Strong, from Mercia Image Print.

Rounding off the finalists for this category is Laura Williams, from Banks Mill Studios, which is part of the University of Derby.

Video production company Goldbox Productions is up for both individual and team honours.

The firm is shortlisted for Best Digital/Creative Start Up, while Odhran Taylor is a finalist in the Emerging Digital/Creative Star (under 25) category.

In the Mainframe Unsung Hero category, Mike Brown, from Derby City Council has been nominated, as has Lee Marples, of Think3, for his work on Derby Swap Shop.

Up for Best Digital/Creative Upscaler is MacMartin, while in the Creativity for Good category Ava Hunt (Ava Hunt Theatre CIC / Sinfonia Viva & Orchestra Live) makes the shortlist.

Voting has also now opened for the Digital/Creative Ambassador of the Year Award. Among the nominees is Gez Addictive, from Alpha Pro Creative. Voting will close on Thursday. To cast your vote please click here.

In a statement, award organisers said: “We’d like to give a huge thank you to all of you who took the time to enter. The number and quality of the entries for the awards this year have been amazing.

“We’d also like to thank our judges who deliberated long and hard over the entries for their category to reach the shortlist they have.”

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in April.
