A golf day organised by Clowes Developments has raised thousands of pounds for a mental health charity.

The ProperTee golf day, which recently took place at Brailsford Golf Club, raised more than £2,000 for Derbyshire Mind.

The event saw 12 local businesses take part, which included FHP Property Consultants.

It also featured a presentation by Vic Handley, who will be taking on a 3,000-mile solo row across the Atlantic Ocean in December in aid of Derbyshire Mind, Derby County Community Trust, Umbrella and Enthusiasm.

Kate Henderson, head of marketing at Clowes Developments, said: “We are delighted to have raised over £2,000 for Derbyshire Mind.

“I would like to personally thank our co-hosts CARVE, our prize sponsors FHP Property Consultants, Longest Drive sponsor, IMA Architects and Nearest to the Pin sponsor, Golf Star.

“Additionally, we had some great support from our colleagues, friends, family and local businesses who donated items or purchased tickets for our raffle.

“This is the first of many events scheduled for this year as we celebrate 60 years in business.”
