The latest calendar of Marketing Derby Bondholder events has been released, featuring cricket, books and a special VIP preview of a new Joseph Wright exhibition.

The events programme from April to June has been confirmed – it includes breakfasts, socials and previews, hosted by a range of Bondholders.

In April, Bondholder Breakfasts will be hosted by Derbyshire County Cricket Club, EMA Training and Rothera Bray.

A particular highlight will be the cricket club’s much anticipated ‘Start of the Season’ event on Thursday 2 April.

Taking place at the Central Co-op County Ground, come along and enjoy a delicious breakfast and meet the first team players ahead of the coming cricket season.

On Tuesday 14 April, EMA Training will be offering a practical introduction to data and AI for organisations unsure where to start, while on Thursday 23 April, law firm Rother Bray’s employment law team will be unpacking the landmark changes introduced by the Employment Rights Act 2025 and their practical implications for employers.

In May, Bondholder Breakfasts will be hosted by Ask the Chameleon, Derby Conference Centre/Bridge the Gap and Derby Book Festival.

On Thursday 7 May, Ask the Chameleon’s Rachel Hayward will be sharing tips on how to successfully apply for the prestigious King’s Awards for Enterprise – including a new category.

On Tuesday 19 May, the team at Derby Conference Centre invites you to come along for an event delivered in partnership with Bridge the Gap, a charity that supports children across Derby through emotional literacy and early mental health intervention.

Rounding off the month on Thursday 28 May is ‘An Audience with Ben Aitken’, organised in collaboration with Derby Book Festival and arranged by Visit Derby.

It will feature travel writer Ben talking about his latest book, which covers some of the UK’s uncelebrated and least visited cities. He will also share with Team Derby why he loves our city.

The following month kicks off with a Bondholder Social on Thursday 4 June at Derby Theatre, hosted by Indigo Drum Communications’ Jonathan Leach, who is also the co-organiser of Derbyshire Unstrictly Dancing.

Each year, the dancing event raises funds for five incredible local charities – and this will be a lively teaser event, packed with razzle, dazzle and just a hint of fake tan.

This will be followed on Wed 10 June with a Bondholder Breakfast hosted by Derby QUAD.

Attendees will receive a gallery tour of the current exhibition and an update from chief executive Eleanor Thorley. There will also be some fun, interactive activities, including a movie poster green screen and LEGO play.

Finally, on Tuesday 23 June, Derby Museums will be hosting an exclusive VIP preview of its new Joseph Wright exhibition ‘From the Shadows’.

Currently exhibiting at London’s National Gallery, this summer the exhibition will ‘come home’ to Wright’s birthplace – bringing together one of the largest collections of his work in decades.

Lindsey Hatfield, commercial development manager at Marketing Derby, said: “It’s another jam-packed programme, and we’d like to thank all our hosts.

“I’d also like to thank our Bondholders for their continued support.

“We’re seeing higher than ever attendance at events so far in 2026 and the next quarter’s programme offers a great mix across topics, sectors and venues.”

All events are free to Bondholders, unless otherwise stated. Invitations will be e-mailed four weeks before each event.

Attendees can only register for these events via a direct invitation.
