Tidyco, Derbyshire FA, Penguin PR, Willmott Dixon and Safe and Sound are among the latest Marketing Derby Bondholders to announce new appointments.

Manufacturer Tidyco has announced the appointment of Scott Mawby as its new managing director after James Tidy stepped down after 26 years with the company, 10 of which were as managing director.

Scott brings a wealth of experience to the role, with 36 years in the manufacturing and engineering sectors.

He has been part of the Indutrade group – Tidyco’s parent company – for five years and has served as managing director of Birmingham Specialities during which he led significant performance improvements and strategic growth.

He said: “It’s a privilege to join a company with such a strong heritage and forward-thinking approach.

“I’m looking forward to building on the work James and the team have done – particularly in supporting our people, developing our capabilities, and strengthening relationships with key partners across rail, defence and other industrial markets.”

Derbyshire FA has appointed Liam Rooney as its new chief executive with immediate effect.

Liam has been appointed into the role following over 16 years of dedicated service, bringing with him a wealth of experience, leadership and a deep understanding of grassroots football in Derbyshire.

He began his career with Derbyshire FA in 2008 as a football development officer.

His commitment to developing the local game saw him promoted to football development manager in 2015, and in 2024 he took on the head of facilities and partnerships role.

Throughout his time with the organisation, Liam has played a pivotal role in delivering facility projects, supporting club development, and driving partnerships that benefit football across the county.

Derbyshire FA chairman, Frank McArdle MBE, said: “Liam’s passion for football in Derbyshire is evident to everyone who’s worked with him.

“His knowledge of the game, commitment to our values, and vision for the future made him the ideal choice to lead the organisation.

“The board is confident that under Liam’s leadership, Derbyshire FA will continue to make a positive impact on the game at every level.”

Penguin PR has welcomed Danielle Williams as its newest account executive.

She joins with an impressive background in digital marketing and content creation.

She previously worked with British Wheelchair Basketball, where she played a key role in boosting the organisation’s online presence by producing compelling content that helped the national governing body reach wider audiences.

Danielle is currently entering her final year of a journalism degree at the University of Derby (BH) and will be working with Penguin on a part-time basis while she completes her studies.

Danielle follows in the footsteps of Sarah-Louise Elton, who also joined Penguin during her studies at the University of Derby and is now celebrating two years with the firm.

In a statement, Penguin PR said: “It’s always exciting to support emerging talent and see people thrive in this fast-paced, rewarding industry.

“We’re confident Danielle will bring her own flair to the role and continue the tradition of bright young communicators making their mark at Penguin PR.”

Contractor Willmott Dixon has reshuffled its senior leadership team, with Catherine Payne appointed as its new commercial director for the Midlands, succeeding Stephen Keach who is retiring after a 31-year career with the company.

Stephen joined Willmott Dixon as an assistant project surveyor in 1994 and progressed through the business, before being appointed to the board as a commercial director in 2008.

He said: “My career with Willmott Dixon has been incredibly rewarding. The UK construction industry is one of the best in the world and I’ve been fortunate to play a part in improving the living environment for hundreds of thousands of people across the Midlands and creating a positive legacy that will last for many decades.”

Catherine brings over 20 years of experience to the role, having worked across the public and private sector, for Tier 1 contractors across the UK.

She said: “I’m honoured to be taking on this role at such an important time for Willmott Dixon.

“Stephen is leaving behind an exceptional legacy, and I look forward to hitting the ground running to build on that strong foundation and help drive forward the company’s excellent reputation for commercial excellence and innovation.”

Finally, Safe and Sound, Derbyshire’s specialist charity supporting young people affected by child exploitation, has announced the appointment of Tina Green as its new deputy chief executive officer.

Tina brings with her a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership from the public sector.

Her career to date spans 22 years in Derbyshire Constabulary in various investigative roles, including human trafficking, exploitation and county lines.

More recently, she spent eight years running her own floristry business.

Mark Richardson, chair of Safe and Sound’s board of trustees, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Tina to Safe and Sound.

“Her extensive background in understanding complex issues like child exploitation, coupled with her passion for making a difference in the community, makes her an exceptional fit to support Safe and Sound, which has seen an incredible growth of the team over the past three years to meet the increasing demand for our support of young people.”
