The latest Bondholder appointments and promotions
BSP Consulting, Lovell Homes, Derbyshire County Cricket Club and Bates Weston are among the latest Marketing Derby Bondholders to announce new appointments in recent weeks.
Civil and structural engineer BSP Consulting has announced the appointment of three new directors to its senior leadership team.

Carol Ell, Monika Anszperger and James Payne have each been with BSP for a number of years and are widely recognised as senior leaders within the business.
All three have been appointed to director to help drive the continued growth and success of the firm, which has offices across the East Midlands.
Carol has been appointed as director of civils, while Monika will lead the firm’s Derby office.
James, who joined BSP as an apprentice in 2001, will take up the role of director with responsibility for IT infrastructure and administration.
Carl Hilton, managing director at BSP Consulting, said: “Carol, Monika and James have each been with BSP for a number of years and are already well-respected senior leaders within the business.
“They have made significant contributions to the company’s management and effectiveness and have consistently demonstrated strong leadership, professionalism and commitment to our core values and long-term success.
“We’re really pleased they are embracing their new roles and wish them every success in helping to drive the continued growth and success of the business.”
At the same time, Clive Roddick and Tony Goddard will be stepping down as directors.
Clive, who is a founding director, will continue to play an important role within BSP as a consultant, while after 20 years with the business, Tony will be retiring.
Lovell Homes has appointed Sally Brookes as regional sales manager for the East Midlands, marking a strategic move to support the business’s continued growth and expansion across the area.

Bringing more than two decades of experience in the housebuilding industry, Sally began her career in 2002 as a sales administrator before progressing to sales manager level.
With 22 years in residential sales, she has developed extensive expertise in new homes sales, team leadership and delivering an exceptional customer journey.
Dawn Bennett, regional sales director at Lovell Homes, said: “Sally’s appointment is a key part of our strategic growth plans for the East Midlands.
“Her extensive experience, leadership skills and deep understanding of the customer journey make her a fantastic addition to the team.
“As we continue to expand our presence across the region, strengthening our sales function is critical to delivering our targets and maintaining the high standards our customers expect.”
Derbyshire County Cricket Club has announced the appointment of a new chairman and president.
Non-executive director of operations and facilities, Ian McFarlane, has been named as the club’s new chair.

Ian, who has had an extensive career primarily as a board member at Briggs of Burton Plc, has served as a non-executive director on the club’s board since 2017.
He succeeds Ian Morgan OBE, who, in-line with the England & Wales Cricket Board’s governance rules, stood down as chair at the club’s Annual General Meeting last month, having served for nine years in the role.
Ian said: “It is a great honour to be appointed chair of Derbyshire County Cricket Club.
“We have made great progress as a club in recent years, and I would personally like to thank Ian Morgan for his commitment and dedication as chair throughout my time on the board.
“I look forward to continuing to work closely with Ian, our fellow board members, staff and the club’s members to build on the strong foundations already in place and drive continued progress both on and off the field.”
Meanwhile, William Cavendish, Earl of Burlington, has been appointed club president.

A lifelong follower of cricket and a passionate supporter of the game at both grassroots and professional levels, Lord Burlington joins his father, the club’s patron, His Grace the Duke of Devonshire KCVO CBE DL, in championing the continued growth and success of Derbyshire cricket.
Alongside his longstanding interest in sport, Lord Burlington is chairman of the Devonshire Group, which controls the family’s business interests.
He also plays an active role in public and civic life, serving as Chancellor of the University of Derby since 2018. He currently co-chairs the university’s Entrepreneurs’ Club.
Lord Burlington said: “I am truly honoured to take on the role of president of Derbyshire County Cricket Club.
“Cricket, with all its exquisite highs and lows, has always held a special place in my life, and I look forward to supporting the club as it continues to grow, both in terms of performance and its importance within the local community.”
Finally, chartered accountants and business advisors Bates Weston has promoted Kate Evans to corporate finance partner.

Kate has been with the firm for 20 years, initially joining her fellow corporate finance partners as executive.
Since then, she has established herself as a key member of the longstanding team.
With extensive experience advising owner-managed businesses on transactions, Kate has built a strong track record of guiding clients through complex deal processes, with particular expertise in business disposals and management buy outs.
