The car’s the star at charity race night

Marketing Derby Bondholders will have another opportunity to get their hands on a miniature Mercedes car at a fund-raising race night in aid of child exploitation charity Safe and Sound.

Those who attended Marketing Derby’s Annual Business Event at Derby Theatre in February will recall that the car was the star prize in the Play Your Cards (W)right segment, hosted by HUUB’s Dean Jackson.

The audience answered a series of higher-or-lower questions, but when the competition became tied, it was decided that the car, supplied by Dean, be donated to Safe and Sound.

Now, it will be a prize in the last race at the charity’s annual Race Night, which will take place on Thursday 30 April at Great Northern Classics, in Osmaston Road.

Tracy Harrison, the charity’s chief executive, said: “We are very grateful for the donation from Deano – who may win the car back if he bids! – and the support of businesses attending our race night, many of which are Bondholders.”
