Tech firm increases US presence with second office

Tech firm Bloc Digital has grown its presence in the US following the official opening of its second North American office.
The new office is located in Wichita, Kansas, which is known as ‘The Air Capital of the World’.
Derby-headquartered Bloc, which already has a US office in Mentor, Ohio, has opened the Wichita office at a building called the Epic Centre to help deepen connections within the US aerospace, aviation and manufacturing sectors.
Bloc delivers next-generation visualisation, training and digital transformation tools, which help elevate how industry communicates and operates.
According to Bloc, with its rich industrial legacy and vibrant business ecosystem, Wichita provides a perfect fit for the business.
Co-founder and joint chief executive Chris Hotham said: “Our new Wichita office will be instrumental in driving our growth and strengthening collaboration across the US. We’re excited to hit the ground running and make our mark at the Epic Center.”
Fellow co-founder and joint chief executive Keith Cox said: “After visiting Wichita just once, we knew that we wanted to have a Bloc office here.
“The hive of aviation and manufacturing companies complements Bloc’s offerings, and the welcoming business community has made it an easy decision.”

According to Bloc, the new office would not have been possible without the dedication of its team, the trust of its clients and the support of partners in Wichita and Kansas.
In particular, it received support from the Greater Wichita Partnership, the City of Wichita and the Kansas Department of Commerce.
To say thank you, the firm hosted an open event at the new office.
Business manager Mckenna Walker said: “The aerospace and aviation industries are truly booming in Wichita, and we are so excited to work closely with many companies in those industries and various others.
“We’ve had such a warm welcome so far and can’t wait to start using our office at the Epic Center to continue to build and progress those relationships.”

Lily Wu, Mayor of Wichita, said: “Wichita is proud to welcome UK-based Bloc Digital to our community as they launch their newest US location.
“Their digital solutions and visualisation expertise align with Wichita’s strengths in aerospace, aviation and advanced manufacturing.
“We look forward to the economic and technological opportunities their presence will create for our workforce and economy.”
