Staff at business processes firm Document Network Services have been planting hundreds of trees to help the environment.

Back in 2022, the Pride Park firm became carbon neutral, thanks to help from Co-Treetment – an environmental charity that specialises in creating woodland areas in the East Midlands through tree planting initiatives.

Recently, the DNS team went to Thringstone, in Northwest Leicestershire, to plant 200 trees.

It is estimated that the trees will offset approximately 88 metric tons of carbon dioxide over the next 20 years.

In a statement, DNS said: “At DNS, we recognise the importance of balancing the requirement for advanced office supplies alongside prioritising environmental responsibility.

“That’s why, as a business, we’re committed to putting the environment first.

“We take proactive measures such as offsetting our carbon footprint, minimising print usage, recycling and reducing wastage across all operations.”
