Pub toasts tourism awards success

A pub owned by the Devonshire Group has enjoyed success at a prestigious national tourism awards.

The Devonshire Arms, at Pilsley, secured the Pub of the Year title at the recently held VisitEngland Awards for Excellence, which are regarded as the highest accolades in English tourism.

Fellow Derbyshire nominees Landal Sandybrook in Ashbourne, Fischer’s Baslow Hall and Pure Outdoor also secured awards.

Jo Dilley, managing director of Marketing Peak District & Derbyshire, said: “The VisitEngland Awards for Excellence represent the highest accolades in English tourism and so we’re incredibly proud that the Peak District and Derbyshire has received national recognition.
