Lubrizol, based in Hazelwood, has signed up as a silver sponsor for DIS, which provides which provides a host of sport science services to aspiring young athletes, sports teams and club members across the country.

The company made the commitment as part of its own community activity and as a way of showcasing its mission to ensure that its own staff are encouraged to live a healthy and active life themselves.

DIS was founded following the 2012 Olympics to offer a one-stop-shop offering practical services for young athletes, including nutrition, psychology, mentoring and physiotherapy.

Chloe Maudsley, managing director of DIS, said: “We’re really grateful to Lubrizol for helping us and our athletes by agreeing to become silver sponsors.

“There is a lot of synergy between the qualities that athletes need to adopt and the world of business, such as resilience, communication and motivation, so we hope this will become a partnership where both parties can benefit from each other.”
