The work of some of top artists, designers and makers will be showcased next month when the University of Derby holds its Banks Mill Open Studios event.

Taking place from Friday 25 November to Sunday 27 November, it will give people a chance to meet the businesses who operate from the studios.

As well as seeing first-hand how the artists create their unique designs and handmade products, visitors will also have the chance to buy original work directly from the artists themselves.

The mills are also home to a number of creative service businesses, who will be on hand to discuss how they can work with you, from video production to photography services.

The event, which will feature an exhibition of artwork over five floors of the Bridge Street building, will run from 5pm to 8pm on the Friday and from 10am to 5pm on the Saturday and Sunday.

Admission is free and there will be a free prize draw and a kids art trail.
