AJS Structural Design, Willmott Dixon, Faithful+Gould and Lovell have been announced as brand partners for Marketing Derby’s forthcoming Derby Property Summit 2023.

Set to take place at Reach Events, on Pride Park, on Wednesday 12 July, this year’s sell-out event, entitled ‘From Customer to Citizen – The Collective Curation of Cities’, will focus on how we can collectively curate our city centres going forward.

This year, the Derby Property Summit is supported by main event partner Bowmer + Kirkland, one of the UK’s largest and most successful privately-owned construction and development groups.

It is joined by four brand partners who are all backing the event – AJS Structural Design, Willmott Dixon, Faithful+Gould and Lovell.

AJS Structural Design is a structural and civil engineering company, which covers projects including residential, commercial and industrial, retail, education, leisure & sport, conservation and heritage and quarry and plant structures.

Its clients include developers, contractors, architects, project managers and homeowners.

In a statement, the company said: “AJS Structural Design is delighted to sponsor the Derby Property Summit once again this year.

“This event holds great significance for the city and the county, as it explores how transformation is crucial for the survival of our towns and cities in a modern society.

“With 25 years of experience as a civil and structural engineer in Derby, Steve Sammans, managing director of AJS Structural Design, has been involved in various redevelopment projects throughout the city.

“Consequently, he recognises the importance of AJS’s association with this event.

“The collective effort dedicated to shaping the future of Derby’s urban landscape by various individuals and groups, many of whom remain unknown to most residents, workers, and visitors, is truly inspiring.

“Being involved as a sponsor of an event that brings these individuals together is a privilege for AJS Structural Design.”

Willmott Dixon is a King’s Award-winning contracting and interior fit-out group.

Founded in 1852, the business, which remains family-run, is dedicated to leaving a positive legacy in our communities and environment.

Jenna Frudd, relationship manager at Willmott Dixon, said: “The revitalisation of our towns and cities up and down the country is incredibly important in the built environment.

“Last year, we held two roundtables on this topic in Derbyshire, with key stakeholders across the industry sharing insights into the vast opportunities available in the Derbyshire region.

“We’re proud to have already worked on a number of projects in Derby, including the University of Derby’s STEM Building.

“As the landscape of our towns and cities changes, we hope to continue our work in Derby to help shape it into a destination to live, work and socialise.”

Faithful+Gould is a world-leading integrated project and programme management consultancy, part of the SNC-Lavalin Group.

It is experienced in delivering all aspects of construction projects.

Director Alex Wakefield said: “Our purpose at F+G is to help build prosperous communities and places, and we’re delighted to return as a Derby Property Summit partner for this year’s event, which focuses on cities and their citizens.

“Having delivered numerous projects in Derby and the surrounding areas, we fully support investment in the city to help Derby sustain itself as a thriving and welcoming place to live and work.”

Lovell is a housing expert and a leading provider of innovative residential construction and regeneration developments.

Among the key schemes it is involved in is the £100 million Castleward regeneration project in Derby.
