An investment programme has been launched in partnership with the University of Derby, which aims to help more Derby firms secure growth funding from ‘business angels’.

Backed by Derby City Council’s Shared Prosperity Fund, the programme has been launched by Derby-based business support organisation Greenborough Management.

The programme support ranges from awareness raising, skills-based workshops and one-to-one coaching.

It culminates in a live Dragons’ Den-style ‘pitch final’, where businesses will pitch for investment from a panel of business angels.

Firms from across all sectors can be supported, as long as they are Derby based.

The programme is also keen to hear from potential investors/business angels who might be interested in taking part.

Applications for the first cohort are open now, with a further two cohorts to be supported throughout 2024/5.
