A number of Marketing Derby Bondholders have been shortlisted for awards recognising the region’s best property and construction firms.

The East Midlands Bricks Awards 2026, organised by East Midlands Business Link, showcase the outstanding work of those behind the changing landscape of the region.

The finalists have now been revealed – and several Bondholders feature on the shortlist.

Leading the way with three nominations is Morrison Design, which has been shortlisted in the Architects of the Year, Responsible Business and Commercial Development of the Year categories.

In the Commercial Development of the Year category, the firm has been shortlisted for its work on the University of Derby’s Biomedical Superlab.

It is joined in that category by Clowes Developments, which is shortlisted for Stud Brook Business Park.

Cavendish & London Property Group and Wheeldon Homes will both be vying for the Developer of the Year title.

Chevin Homes and Matthew Montague Architects will both be hoping for success in the Residential Development of the Year category for their Manor Farm scheme.

And BB&J Commercial is shortlisted in the Deal of the Year category for a deal involving 73 Monk Street, in Derby, the sale of which has paved the way for a major student apartments scheme.

Finally, BSP Consulting is up for the Excellence in Design award for its work on a unique project called ‘On Freedom’s Wings’.

Designed by the civil and structural engineering specialist, in collaboration with the Bomber County Gateway Trust, On Freedom’s Wings is a 29-metre-high art installation and life-size statue of a Lancaster Bomber.

Sited in Lincolnshire, it honours RAF crews from the Second World War.

The overall winner will be announced at the awards ceremony, which will take place in Nottingham on Thursday 15 October.

They will be awarded a grand prize of a year of marketing/publicity with Business Link worth £20,000, with the opportunity to split or gift the marketing to a charity of their choice.

The keynote speaker at the event will be Amy Harhoff, chief executive at the East Midlands Combined County Authority.
