Bondholders celebrate Masters Awards wins

A number of Marketing Derby Bondholders have triumphed at the 2021 East Midlands Business Masters Awards.

Organised by TheBusinessDesk.com, the awards, which recently took place in Nottingham, recognised a wide range of businesses across the region for their achievements and resilience during an unprecedented period.

At the awards, there were double success for creative agency think3, which scooped the Start-up of the Year and Fast Growth Business awards.

Hot on the heels of its success at the Marketing Derby Food and Drink Awards, where it was crowned overall winner, Morley Hayes was named Family Business of the Year.

There was also success for property group Staton Young, which was crowned Property Business of the Year.

Staton Young owns business centres in Derby and Burton and has completed numerous development projects over the years.

It is currently working on a 166 student bed scheme in Agard Street, which is set to be open in time for new students starting university in September 2022.

Chief executive Marc Brough said: “We are extremely pleased to have won Property Business of the Year award – an amazing achievement by the team.

“The business is going from strength to strength and the future for the company is very exciting.”

Finally, David Campbell, director at Derby-based diagnostics firm Surescreen, was named Ambassador of the Year.

It has been a stellar 18 months for the firm, which has undergone rapid expansion since winning a series of Government contracts for Covid testing kits.

David said: “Our company was founded by my father, Jim, and now my brothers, and I have proudly continued this important work.

“We have such a brilliant team across SureScreen who have worked tirelessly to get the best-performing products out there to people across the world who have needed them during the pandemic.

“It is an honour to be recognised in this way, and this acknowledgement is for the whole team.

“We are very pleased to have been able to help during the pandemic and believe this is just part of SureScreen’s journey.”
