Private equity investor secures glut of dealmaker awards

Private equity investor LDC was the big winner at awards which recognise the best dealmakers in the region.

LDC, which is part of Lloyds Banking Group, carried off a number of prizes at the recent Midlands Dealmakers Awards, which are organised by Insider.

Its team was named Private Equity/Venture Capital Team of the Year, while its regional head, David Bains, was crowned Dealmaker of the Year.

LDC’s investment in Eagle Eye Innovations was named Deal of the Year (£10m+).

The company also had a hand in the deal that was highly commended in the same category, which was the sale of Aquavista to Antin Infrastructure Partners.

Held in Nottingham, Insider’s East Midlands Dealmakers Awards 2026 celebrate the major transactions in the region and the teams that made them happen.
