Chatsworth scooped gold in the Festival or Event of the Year category for its celebration of Jane Austen. Alstom’s The Greatest Gathering rail festival secured bronze in the same category.

Elsewhere, Bespoke Inns carried off three awards, with The Boot at Repton securing a brace of accolades – silver in the Pub of the Year category and bronze in B&B and Guest House of the Year.
The Boot’s sister pub, The Dragon, at Willington, secured silver in the B&B and Guest House of the Year category.
Morley Hayes scooped two bronzes – in the Hotel of the Year and Regenerative Tourism category. And Cromford Mills was awarded silver in Team of the Year.
The gold winners will now go on to represent the region at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence in June – the highest national accolade in English tourism.
