The latest Bondholder appointments and promotions
Dains, Flint Bishop and Derventio Housing Trust are among the latest Marketing Derby Bondholders to announce new appointments in recent weeks.
Professional services firm Dains has appointed John Williams as chief performance officer – a role in which he will help shape the group’s strategic plans and operating models, as it continues to grow both organically and through acquisition.

John will be responsible for leading regional and partner performance across the business, supporting the delivery of Dains’ strategy and ensuring the group is well positioned to meet the increasing demand for its services.
He will focus on strengthening operating models across the group, aligning people, processes and resources to support sustainable growth and a consistent, high-quality client experience.
The appointment builds on the recent additions of Remy Lammertsma (chief financial officer) and Fiona McSwein (chief client officer).
Richard McNeilly, chief executive at Dains, said: “John’s appointment reflects the scale of our ambition and the pace at which Dains continues to grow.
“As we expand across the UK and Ireland, it’s essential that our operating model evolves with us.
“John brings a strong track record of driving performance, integrating acquisitions and building scalable structures that support long-term growth.”
As part of strategic recruitment drive across its northern division, law firm Flint Bishop has appointed Deborah Niven as partner and head of intellectual property.

She joins from national firm gunnercooke LLP and brings more than 25 years’ experience advising clients on the protection, commercialisation and management of intellectual property and technology assets.
In her new role, she will lead the strategic development of Flint Bishop’s Intellectual Property team.
Her arrival follows the appointment of Malcolm Simpson as managing partner (North) last quarter.
Malcolm said: “Deborah’s appointment represents a significant step in the ongoing development of our commercial services, both in the north and nationally.
“Intellectual property is increasingly critical for our clients, particularly those in technology, manufacturing and innovation-led sectors.
“Deborah brings a rare combination of technical expertise, proven leadership, and a practical, solutions-focused approach.”
Finally, Derventio Housing Trust, which provides housing for 1,200 people affected by homelessness across the UK, has appointed Gary Stringer to a newly created role leading on strategy, communications and fundraising.

He comes to Derventio after a varied background, which most recently has seen him working in town planning and architectural design.
Before that he was involved in high level conferences, as well as an inward investment organisation in Hemel Hempstead.
Gary’s new role will involve overseeing Derventio Housing Trust’s events programme and forging relationships with businesses to support its highly valued projects helping people to get their lives back on track.
Sarah Hernandez, managing director at Derventio Housing Trust, said: “We’re very excited to have appointed Gary to his new role with us.
“As we refresh our fundraising strategy, we’re delighted Gary is going to lead our events programme with his wealth of experience in different parts of the UK.
“We are hoping to harness the goodwill we know is out there from many local businesses, so we can offer more support to those for whom we are providing housing.”
