Dains, Nielsen McAllister, FHP Property Consultants and LDC are among the latest Marketing Derby Bondholders to announce new appointments in recent weeks.

Accountancy and business advisory group Dains has appointed Remy Lammertsma as chief financial officer, strengthening its financial leadership and governance as it continues to scale across the UK and Ireland.

Following a period of sustained expansion, supported by private equity investment from IK Partners, Dains now employs more than 1,000 professionals.

Remy’s appointment follows the recent arrival of Fiona McSwein as chief client officer, demonstrating the group’s ongoing investment in leadership as it moves into its next phase of development.

He brings more than 20 years of international management experience.

Most recently, he served as chief financial officer at Expereo, a private equity-backed global technology business headquartered in Amsterdam.

Richard McNeilly, chief executive at Dains, said: “As Dains continues to grow and evolve, we’ve remained focused on strengthening our capabilities, integrating further across the group and investing in the right leadership in place to support long-term growth.

“Remy brings extensive international experience in scaling finance functions and driving growth in private equity-backed environments.

“His expertise will be critical as we continue to grow and strengthen the financial foundations of the group.”

PR and communications agency Nielsen McAllister has announced the appointment of three new members of staff in support of its rapidly growing client portfolio.

The new hires come as the business continues to deliver award-winning PR, social media and digital marketing campaigns for a diverse range of businesses, including recent client wins in the property, forestry and packaging sectors.

Following stints as head of creative and associate creative director at agencies Fabric Social and SocialChain, Beth Blance joins the business as account director.

Joining alongside Beth is Ellie Smith, a university graduate with a BSc in Business Management and an MA in International Security, who will be supporting clients across PR and content as account executive.

Digital marketing apprentice Brooke Townley-Jones rounds out the triple appointment, following in the footsteps of a number of PR professionals who gained their marketing qualifications with the help of Nielsen McAllister.

Managing director Simon Wildash said: “We are delighted to welcome Beth, Ellie and Brooke to the Nielsen McAllister team.

“As the agency continues to grow, their expertise in B2B PR and communications will strengthen the quality of content we provide to our clients, supporting the ongoing expansion of our portfolio.”

Commercial property agents FHP Property Consultants has announced the promotion of Tom Wragg to the position of director.

He said: “I’m extremely proud to be appointed to director having started with FHP in 2014 as a management surveyor – it’s been an incredible journey.

“I’m grateful for the opportunities I have had over that 12-year period and excited for what the future holds.”

Alan Pearson, director of retail and leisure at FHP, said: “Tom has transferred seamlessly across from property management into his agency and L&T role heading up the Derby office retail and leisure team, increasing our city centre high street instructions and instructions across Derbyshire.

“He’s been the flagbearer of Derbyshire retail and leisure and continues to support the development of the wider team in Derby and Nottingham.”

Finally, private equity investor LDC has strengthened its regional presence with the appointment of Lucy Lagrosse as an investment executive, focusing on businesses across the East Midlands and East of England.

Lucy joins LDC from Clearwater, where she spent more than three years on M&A transactions and private equity investments within the modelling and debt advisory teams, having previously worked at Deloitte for four years.

In her new role, she will work with LDC’s regional team to identify management teams seeking private equity support to fuel their next phase of growth.

David Bains, partner and head of LDC in the East Midlands and East of England, said: “Lucy’s experience will be greatly valuable as we continue to back businesses that are looking for their next phase of growth, and her appointment will help us to support even more management teams across the region.

“There’s real momentum in the East Midlands and East of England right now, and we’re excited to have her join the team.”
