Tech firm enjoys double awards success

Tech firm Bloc Digital is celebrating a double win at awards organised by East Midlands Chamber which recognise the region’s young entrepreneurs, innovators and future leaders.

At this year’s Generation Next Awards, the firm’s Marco Coltro won the Creators and Makers Award while Sean Wilson received the Excellence in Sales or Marketing Award.

Recognising the outstanding achievement of young professionals aged 18-35 in the East Midlands, this year the awards were combined with a summer festival, which took place at Down to Earth’s Electric Daisy venue.

Lucy Robinson, director of resources at East Midlands Chamber and Generation Next lead, said: “The ingenuity, fresh thinking and stand-out achievement of young people in the East Midlands is something that must be celebrated – these are the future leaders of the region, the apprentices that have the wow factor and make a huge impact at their workplace, and people who’ve set an exceptionally high bar when it comes to customer experience or creativity.”

Generation Next chair Scarlett Canavan said: “Along with the summer festival vibe at the Generation Next Awards, we’ve had incredible entries across the board.

“The Generation Next Awards are an opportunity for young people to connect, while recognising the achievements of others and celebrate together.”
