The organisers of this year’s Derby Festé have made an appeal for volunteers to help make the outdoor arts and cultural festival as memorable as possible for those attending.

Set to take place at various city centre locations on 22 and 23 September, the annual event attracts more than 30,000 visitors.

Organisers, which include Deda, Derby LIVE and a host of other partners, are now aiming to recruit up to 100 ‘Festé Makers’ of all ages and backgrounds whose roles will centre around being the welcoming and friendly face of the festival.

Feste’s volunteer coordinator, Katrina Farrell Richardson, said: “Festé Makers are the final piece of the puzzle in making Festé happen every year.

“They connect the team creating the program and building the experience with the visitors and communities as our audience.

“This will be a great opportunity to get involved and help make memories in what will be a bigger, brighter, and bolder Festé than ever before.”
