Vibrant Accountancy has more than doubled in size over the past 12 months after welcoming its eighth team member.

The accountancy and business advice firm, which is based in Duffield Road, has recruited 22-year-old Emily Cooper as its client service support.

The former Trent College student will assist with tax and support Vibrant’s client-base as the business, which was recently named Best New Firm at the Accounting Excellence Awards, continues to go from strength-to-strength.

She joins co-founders Ian Ball and Beverley Wakefield, Samantha Carter-Roe, Vibrant’s chief bookkeeper, office co-ordinator Lynn McCabe, Emma Vicars, who is head of accounting, Lauren Hiller, head of tax and Zoe Bishop, who joined the team in September as a senior accountant.

Emily said: “I have heard so much about Vibrant Accountancy and am absolutely delighted to be joining the team.

“Finance is something which I’ve always had a keen interest in. I studied business at A-Level and did work experience at Cooper Parry, which has its head office in my hometown of Castle Donington.

Co-founder Bev, who previously worked at Cooper Parry, set up Vibrant Accountancy with business partner Ian Ball in September 2019.

Bev said: “We pride ourselves on having a personality and being passionate about what we do.

“We aim to empower our team and our clients, breaking down the jargon associated with accountancy, supporting and being an ‘arm around the shoulder’.

“Emily joins us at a time of growth and will be an integral part of the team who will be working on an exciting new project which we’re delighted to be involved with.

“Emily is experienced but we want to encourage her to grow, too; we’ll be supporting her as she takes her chartered accountancy exams in the new year.

“These are exciting times for Vibrant Accountancy and Emily compliments our team perfectly.”
