Venue teams up with charity to keep people warm this winter

Vaillant Live has teamed up with YMCA Derbyshire to help individuals and families keep warm this winter.

The venue is encouraging guests attending any of its live shows to donate pre-loved winter essentials as part of the Wrap Up This Christmas campaign.

As temperatures drop, guests are invited to bring donations of clean, good-quality, pre-loved winter items such as coats, hats, scarves, gloves, blankets and other cold-weather essentials.

All donated items will be passed directly to YMCA Derbyshire to support those who need them most throughout the winter months.

YMCA Derbyshire works across the county to help ensure everyone has a fair chance to discover who they are and what they can become.

Through its work in housing, health and wellbeing, family and youth services, training and education, and support and advice, the charity provides vital foundations for young people and communities across Derbyshire.

By donating a pre-loved winter item when attending a show, visitors can help make a real difference to people in need across Derbyshire this winter.

Marcus Sheehan, general manager of Vaillant Live said: “Live events bring people together, and this winter we wanted to use that sense of community to support those facing hardship across Derbyshire this winter.

“By partnering with YMCA Derbyshire, we’re giving our audiences the opportunity to make a real difference with a simple donation.

“We hope our visitors will join us in helping ensure more people stay warm this winter.”

In a statement, YMCA Derbyshire said: “For many of the young people and families we support at YMCA Derbyshire, winter can be an especially challenging time.

“Something as simple as a warm coat, hat or scarf can make a huge difference, providing not only warmth and comfort but also dignity and reassurance during the colder months.

“We are incredibly grateful to Vaillant and everyone contributing to this collection for helping us ensure that those in our community who need it most can face the winter with a little more warmth and confidence.”

Donation points will be available on show days for guests only at Vaillant Live upon entry throughout its calendar of winter events.
