Urgent appeal to feed families over summer

Derby Food 4 Thought Alliance has issued an urgent appeal to raise £15,000 to feed families in the city over the summer.
According to the charity as school holidays begin, pressure on Derby families is rising—but donations are starting to slow.

DF4TA’s Summer Food Drive is supporting people across the city who are struggling to afford the basics.
With demand at its highest and supplies running low, an additional £15,000 is needed to make sure food support can continue through to September.
Local businesses and community partners are being asked to help any way they can—by hosting a food drive, giving financially or supporting one of the regular donation schemes.
Individual monthly giving can be done at https://www.derbyfood4thoughtalliance.org.uk/how-to-help/join-the-squid-army.
Monthly business donors should visit https://www.derbyfood4thoughtalliance.org.uk/how-to-help/df4ta-100-club.
Food donations can be dropped off at Derbion (outside Sainsbury’s), Asda Sinfin or Morrisons at any time, or contact DF4TA to arrange a collection.
