Trust in quest to expand its board

Derby County Community Trust has announced plans to expands its board of trustees.

The charity is looking to supplement existing expertise on the board with new trustees who have knowledge of law and HR, although applications are welcome from all sectors.

It also wants its trustees to be representative of diverse communities, so it is actively encouraging applications from ethnic minorities, disabled people and anyone who identifies as part of a community that is underrepresented in the charity.

Simon Carnall, head of community at the trust, said: “Our charity has grown at a fantastic rate over the last few years, and we now find ourselves at a fantastic point in our history, with more projects being delivered across more communities than ever before.

“Our board is hugely supportive and continues to drive us forwards, and we’re looking for new members to help us grow and develop further.”
