Toyota van retains industry award

A van built by Toyota Manufacturing UK at its Derbyshire factory has scooped a top industry award for the second year running.

The Toyota Corolla Commercial was recently named Small Van of the Year at the Great British Fleet Awards for the second year in a row.

Based on the Corolla Hatchback passenger car, the latest Corolla Commercial features fifth generation Toyota hybrid technology.

John Kendall, editor of awards organiser Van Fleet World, said: “The Toyota Corolla Commercial is an impressive car-derived van, offering an accessible load space and an easy driving experience.

“The latest version, launched in 2023, is even better than the original, with Toyota’s latest generation hybrid system and excellent fuel consumption, with 60mpg easily achievable.
