Air IT, Timms Solicitors, Katapult, Ford & Stanley and Poppy PR are among the latest Marketing Derby Bondholders to announce new appointments in recent weeks.

IT services provider Air IT has appointed Dan Portus as the firm’s new chief experience officer.

With an extensive background in driving customer-centric initiatives, Dan brings a wealth of experience from his tenure at FCDO Services, the Civil Service, and Tesco.

As Air IT’s chief experience officer, Dan will be instrumental in further developing and refining the company’s customer experience programme, with a keen focus on consistency and continuous enhancement throughout the customer journey.

James Healey, chief operating officer at Air IT, said: “Dan’s appointment as our chief experience officer underscores our unwavering commitment to prioritising the needs and satisfaction of our customers.

“His proven track record in leading customer-focused initiatives aligns perfectly with our vision of delivering exceptional experiences to our clients.”

Timms Solicitors has promoted Charlotte Day to head of its growing wills and probate department across its offices in Derby, Burton, Ashby and Swadlincote.

Having graduated with a Law degree from the University of Chester and completing her Legal Practice Course with a London firm, Charlotte qualified as a solicitor in 2016 and joined Timms in 2018.

She completed the firm’s bespoke Pathways programme and was promoted to Associate in 2022.

Timms managing partner Fiona Moffat said: “Charlotte has proven to be a natural leader as well as an excellent lawyer and we are delighted that she has taken on the role as head of wills and probate.

“This is a growing team and I know that, under Charlotte’s leadership, this important aspect of our work will flourish even further.”

Themed attraction and visitor experience designer Katapult has welcomed four new additions to its team.

Amelia Maresca, joins as guest experience designer, Ben Millerman and James Lawbuary as project producers and Jack Pedleham as a 3D designer.

Talent services specialist Ford & Stanley Group has announced the promotion of Ricky Wright to head of sales for Talentwise, the blue-collar skilled and semi-skilled business area of the group’s recruitment arm.

The promotion recognises Ricky’s contribution to the ongoing success of the business area, which has gone from strength-to-strength as a recruitment partner to some of the most significant employers in the UK transportation and mobility industry.

Ricky joined the company as senior Recruitment consultant in 2015, and with his extensive knowledge and network in the rail sector, has played a key role in the growth of Talentwise while receiving several promotions and nurturing an expanding team.

Poppy PR has announced that it has attracted back one of its first members of staff, Emma Turner, to help provide on-call support for the firm’s expanding client list.

Emma first joined the company as a PR executive in 2015 after graduating with a master’s degree in Magazine Journalism at Nottingham Trent University and rejoins the team with 10 years of communications experience.

Tina Clough, who runs Poppy PR alongside business partner Phil Stubbs, said: “It’s been a joy to have Emma back. Having another experienced journalist on the team has strengthened our PR services package even further, which already has more than 100 years of combined expertise and industry knowledge.”
