Search is on for civic heroes

The University of Derby is seeking nominations for awards, which celebrate the people and partnerships making a real difference across Derby and Derbyshire.

Now in their second year, the Civic Awards recognise outstanding staff, students, partners and community members.

They shine a light on inspiring individuals and groups who are creating positive change, whether through leadership, volunteering, learning or community action.

Nominations are being invited for the following categories: Civic Hero, Civic and Community Leader of the Year, Intergenerational Volunteer Award and Lifelong Learning Award.

Nominations close at 12noon on Thursday 4 June. Winners will be invited to a special awards reception at Derby Theatre on Thursday 2 July.
