Designs by Matthew Montague Architects for a prominent house in Duffield owned by Chevin Homes have been granting planning permission.

Amber Valley Borough Council has given the green light to extend 58 Broadway and build a new home next to the property.

Since it was constructed in the 1960s, the property, which has a low-pitched copper roof has stood out from its surroundings.

Matthew Montague, principal architect at Matthew Montague Architects. said “58 Broadway has long since been a property that catches the eye.

“We may not recognise the address but many of us will recognise the building.

“We are delighted to be working with Chevin Homes once again and to have obtained the planning permission that will create two more superb family homes in a highly desirable village location.”

Director of Chevin Homes, John Fearnehough, said “This special high-end development is a blend of traditional and cutting-edge contemporary design.”
