Peak performance raises charity cash

A team from Dains Accountants have raised thousands of pounds after taking part in a gruelling walking challenge in the Peak District.

The team recently took part in the 100km Peak District Ultra Challenge, raising £5,000 for the Edward’s Trust, which offers support to children, young people and families facing loss and surviving bereavement.

During the challenge, which took place in high temperatures, the team faced sunburn, blisters, exhaustion and sunstroke.

Richard McNeilly, chief executive at Dains, said: “This is what I love about the people at Dains; they care, not only for their clients, but for the community and each other.

“I know there were times when completing this challenge that some suffered real lows but working as a team they supported each other to achieve their target.”
