Mount Cook to stage Ukraine fundraiser

Mount Cook Adventure Centre is set to stage a fund-raising fete in aid of families caught up in the war in Ukraine.

The outdoor activity centre at Middleton-by-Wirksworth will hold the event on Sunday 19 May, from 10am to 4pm.

Entry will be free on the day and activities will be £15 for up to three activities.

All proceeds will go to The Helping Hand for Ukraine, a charity dedicated to supporting families in northern Ukraine.

It follows a successful fundraiser held last year, which saw more than 150 visitors take part.

Steve Cook, chief executive at Mount Cook, said: “There is a real passion from the people of Derbyshire to support the war efforts in Ukraine.

“This is a great opportunity to directly impact real people’s lives, while having a great day out and taking part in some outdoor adventures.”
