More than 1,000 nominations received for Food and Drink Awards

Over 1,000 nominations have so far been received for the Marketing Derby Food and Drink Awards – and there is still time to put forward your favourite place to eat and drink.
The nomination period for this year’s celebration of Derby’s brilliant food and drink businesses opened on June 26.
Since then, nominations have been flooding across the numerous award categories, which include Best Café, Best Pub, Best Bar and Best Country Pub / Restaurant – and, of course, Restaurant of the Year.
There is still time to cast your vote, with the nomination period closing on 25 July. You can nominate here.
Christopher Tebbs, inward investment executive at Marketing Derby and Food and Drink Awards lead, said: “We’re delighted to have already surpassed 1,000 nominations, which really shows the passion and support people have for the local food and drink scene.
“Derby has many high-quality establishments, who work incredibly hard to deliver a first-class experience for their customers.
“This is an opportunity for all of us to show our appreciation and give them the recognition they deserve.”

Featuring 12 categories, the awards have been designed to allow as many food and drink businesses as possible to enter.
There will once again be an Innovation Award, chosen by Marketing Derby, and an award presented on the night recognising Outstanding Achievement.
And there will also be a new category this year, Bustler’s Best Bite, overseen by Bustler, which will ask people to nominate their favourite dish, snack, drink or bite from around Derbyshire.
An updated Food and Drink Guide will also be produced, which will feature all of the 2025 winners.
This year, the public, the business community and the food and drink outlets themselves are invited to make nominations.
Once the nomination period closes, judges will round them down to a shortlist of finalists, who will be announced in August.
The winners will then be revealed at a vibrant ceremony at The Chocolate Factory on 6 October.
This year, the awards has attracted a top line-up of sponsors: The Chocolate Factory, Denby Pottery, Royal Crown Derby, Catering24, Rothera Bray, Derby College Group, Ocean King, NK Motors, Trentbarton, Q Branch Consultancy and Matthew Montague Architects.
