Manufacturer’s staff smash charity fundraising target
Medical device manufacturer Pennine Healthcare has raised more than £1,500 for child exploitation charity Safe and Sound from a year-long fundraising campaign.
Staff across the business took part in a series of activities throughout the year, raising an impressive £1,627 and comfortably surpassing the company’s £1,000 fundraising target.

The campaign brought teams together through a range of events, including a company ‘rowathon’, Halloween bake sale, Christmas raffle and several other initiatives organised by employees.
Safe and Sound supports children and young people across Derbyshire who are affected by exploitation, providing specialist intervention, prevention services and long-term support.
Dan Wilson, Pennine’s strategy, marketing and communications director, said: “Surpassing our fundraising target is a fantastic achievement and a real testament to the generosity and enthusiasm of our colleagues.
“From our annual sporting challenge to our festive events, it has been inspiring to see everyone come together to support such an important local charity.”
