Lead firm shows its mettle

Lead manufacturer and supplier Midland Lead has been nominated for a national award recognising its commitment to recycling.

The firm, based at Woodville, Swadlincote, has been shortlisted in the Metals Recycling Business of the Year category at the 2022 Awards for Excellence in Recycling and Waste Management.

The awards recognise innovation, dedication and success in the recycling and waste industry, local authorities, and the wider sector.

Founded in 1983, Midland Lead has gone on to become one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of lead products in the UK.

The firm uses only use 100% recycled lead to make its products.

The winners will be revealed at a ceremony in London on Wednesday 18 May.
