Law firm snapped up by larger group

John M Lewis & Co, which specialises in residential conveyancing, wills, trusts and probate, has announced it has been taken over.

The PM Law Group has acquired the business, which will continue to trade under the John M Lewis & Co name – but will be able to offer a wider range of legal services, including personal injury, employment and civil litigation/dispute resolution services.

The business will also remain at its offices in Vernon Street.

According to PM Law Group, the acquisition of John M Lewis & Co complements its national reach with local, customer-centric face-to-face services.

“It was very important to us that we could still build and retain close relationships with our clients and retain that degree of independence.
