The company was recognised among a global field of more than 3,900 entries for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.

Bam Boom Cloud, which uses Microsoft cloud technology to help small and medium businesses grow, moved to its current headquarters in the Cathedral Quarter earlier this year, with help from Marketing Derby and Derby City Council.

“In the past two years we have grown from a local to a global business and to have this recognition from Microsoft that we are best in class and right at the forefront of innovation in our field, is truly mind-blowing.

“I cannot thank our dedicated team and amazing customers enough.

“The past year has also seen us open our Derby HQ, which we couldn’t have done without the continued support of Marketing Derby, Derby City Council, and too many others to mention.

“Winning the Partner of the Year award supports our continued business growth, which is in turn enables us to create some exciting opportunities for young people in our city – building the next generation of home-grown tech experts.”

The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards recognise Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered outstanding Microsoft-based applications, services and devices during the past year.

Awards were classified in various categories, with winners chosen from submitted nominations from more than 100 countries worldwide.

Bam Boom Cloud was recognised for providing outstanding solutions and services in Dynamics 365 Business Central, Microsoft’s accounting system for small and medium-sized businesses.

Vicky Critchley, chief executive at Bam Boom Cloud, said: “I could not be prouder that Bam Boom Cloud has won this award.

“It is our second win, and the fourth consecutive year that we have been recognised by Microsoft in this category.

“It is testament to the hard work of our team who, every day, work to innovate and transform the traditional methods of finance system implementations, meaning more businesses can take advantage of the very best Microsoft Cloud technology.”
