Firms advise on care group sale

Professional services firms Bates Weston and Nelsons have advised on the sale of a care group.

They advised the shareholders of Witham Valley Care Group on its sale to Choice Care Group, which is a provider of residential care and supported living services for people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health conditions.

The Bates Weston transaction team comprised of partner Chris Jones and senior manager Kate Evans.

Partner David Kaplan and associate Liz Mills from Nelsons’ corporate team provided legal advice to the sellers.

Chris said: “The Witham Valley Care Group shareholders have built a business which will provide Choice with a flagship provision in Lincolnshire.

“This deal represents the latest transaction in a sector in which we have worked for over two decades.”
