Electrical services firm selects Corolla vans

A national electrical and maintenance services business has decided to update its fleet with vans built at Toyota’s Derbyshire plant.

Barlows, whose services include the installation of domestic and commercial chargers for electric vehicles, has selected the Toyota Corolla Commercial hybrid electric van, ordering 22 vehicles to be used by its workforce.

Built at Burnaston, the Toyota Corolla Commercial is the country’s first hybrid electric van.

It was updated at the beginning of this year, benefiting from more powerful and more efficient fifth generation Toyota hybrid electric technology and a full complement of Toyota Safety Sense active safety and driver assistance systems.
