Marketing Derby is proud to announce that construction giant Bowmer + Kirkland will be the main event partner for the forthcoming Derby Property Summit 2023.

Organised by the Queen’s Award-winning inward investment promotion agency and set to take place at Reach Events, on Pride Park, on Wednesday 12 July, this year’s event will focus on how we can collectively curate our city centres going forward.

Entitled ‘From Customer to Citizen – The Collective Curation of Cities’, the event, which will be attended by more than 250 people, will be chaired by business journalist Declan Curry and will feature keynote speakers and panel debates.

As in previous years, Derby Property Summit will also give an insight into Derby’s investment pipeline and key schemes – some of which Bowmer + Kirkland has a hand in.

Headquartered in Derbyshire, the firm is one of the UK’s largest and most successful privately-owned construction and development groups.

Over the past five years alone, the company has secured projects with a value of almost £3 billion.

In Derby, it has delivered a number of key buildings, including Derby Arena and the Moorways Sports Village.

2023 is a particularly special year for the business as it is celebrating its centenary.

Established in 1923, the Bowmer + Kirkland Group now comprises 27 companies, most of which are construction related.

Among these companies are Peveril Securities and Peveril Homes.

Peveril Securities is the investment and development arm of Bowmer + Kirkland Group, operating on a nationwide basis across all sub-sectors of the UK real estate market.

The company specialises in investment and development both in a sole capacity and in joint venture.

Here in Derby, Peveril Securities is the development partner for future phases of the £200 million regeneration of Becketwell.

The next phase of the scheme involves the creation of a brand new £45.8 million performance venue, which is currently being delivered by Bowmer + Kirkland.

Peveril Homes is the house-building arm of the Bowmer + Kirkland Group.

Operating for over 30 years, the business specialises in creating high-quality developments across the region.

John Forkin, managing director of Marketing Derby, said: “We are immensely grateful to Bowmer + Kirkland for supporting this year’s Derby Property Summit.

“Over the years, the company has delivered a number of important buildings here in Derby, which have been key to enhancing the experience of our city, from Derby Arena to the Moorways Sports Village.

“B + K is now carrying on this traditional by delivering the new Becketwell performance venue.”
