Artcore has launched a search for artists to take part in a project involving Derby’s twin city of Osnabruck.

It is looking for artists to take up a two-month residency, running from 10 May to 7 July, which would include a two-week visit to the German city.

It is a continuation of the Building Bridges project, which over the past couple of years has strengthened links between the artistic communities in both cities.

Last May, it saw Caroline Ainsworth and Martin Hyde spend a week exploring Osnabruck and creating artwork, which reflected on the various points of references between the two cities.

The resulting exhibition of their work was shown at Artcore Gallery and the Derby City Lab.

In a statement, Artcore said: “This unique experience is open to two Derby-based artists interested in connecting with international artist communities and gaining insights from cross-cultural experiences.”

Applications must be received by Sunday 28 April. To apply, visit https://www.curatorspace.com/opportunities/detail/building-bridges/8209 .
