Fitness enthusiasts in Derby can now experience one of the fastest growing workouts in the UK at Derby Arena.

The Derby City Council-owned venue has now launched brand new Reformer classes, which are designed to build strength, improve flexibility and support better posture.

The classes use specialist equipment to provide a low impact but highly effective full body workout.

Suitable for all fitness levels, the sessions offer a dynamic and supportive way to improve overall wellbeing.

The classes take place on award winning Reformer Pilates bed, which uses springs and pulleys to add resistance and support.

This creates a versatile workout that helps strengthen the core, tone muscles and improve mobility while remaining gentle on the joints.

The new sessions at Derby Arena are ideal for beginners looking to try something new, as well as experienced participants wanting to enhance their training routine.

Councillor Ndukwe Onuoha, the city council’s cabinet member for Streetpride, parks and leisure, said: “We are delighted to introduce Reformer classes at Derby Arena, giving residents the opportunity to try an innovative and highly effective workout in a first-class facility.

“These sessions are suitable for all abilities and provide a fantastic way to build strength, improve flexibility and support overall wellbeing.”

Derby Arena’s expert instructors will guide participants through each session, ensuring exercises can be adapted to suit individual abilities and goals.

Louisa Newton, Derby Arena’s Reformer class instructor, said: “As an instructor, I’m really excited to see Derby Arena expanding its wellbeing offering and bringing one of the UK’s fastest-growing fitness trends to its members through Reformer Pilates.

“What I love about Reformer Pilates is that it’s suitable for everybody, whether you’re completely new to exercise or already very active, the classes can be adapted to your level.

“I think people in Derby are going to love the variety and benefits that Reformer Pilates brings. It complements so many other types of training and everyday life.”

Sessions can now be booked via the Derby Arena website. For more information click here.
