Architects toast quadruple awards shortlisting

Morrison Design is celebrating after being shortlisted in four categories at awards which recognise the best of the region’s construction sector.
The firm of architects has received multiple nominations at the Constructing Excellence East Midlands Awards.

It is shortlisted for Building Project of the Year and Infrastructure Project of the Year for the Sustainable Travel Hub, which is located at the University of Derby’s Kedleston Road campus.
The innovative project, a collaboration between Derby City Council and the university, has created a unique hub for sustainable travel, offering multiple transport choices in one location.
Morrison is also up for the Integration & Collaborative Working Award for the Superlab project at the University of Derby.
The project is shortlisted as part of Seddon’s submission, alongside Rodgers Leask and CPW.
The project has seen the transformation of former office and administrative space into a state-of-the-art super lab, complete with supporting spaces for teaching and research.
Finally, Morrison is shortlisted for the People & Culture Award for the third year running.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in July.
