Popular food-on-the-go retailer Greggs has opened a new site at Long Eaton thanks to a deal completed by Innes England.

The new outlet has opened at the Forbes Park industrial hub – and is the fifth deal secured in recent months between Innes England and Greggs.

Sam Hall, a surveyor at Innes England surveyor, said: “Local high street locations have performed well, continuing to experience healthy levels of footfall – and we are also seeing strong occupier demand for prominent roadside positions on main arterial routes.

“It makes sense that many businesses are investing in these locations. This is indicative of past lockdown consumer trends with many wanting the convenience of grabbing food on the go.

“The acquisition in Long Eaton is a great example of this as, although there is seating inside, there’s a much bigger emphasis on customers who are on the move.

“It’s no surprise that we have acquired a streak of similar properties for Greggs as it is indicative of a larger trend.”
