New programme aims to helm fledgling firms

New and aspiring business owners are being encouraged to sign up to a new programme – delivered by East Midlands Chamber – designed to help them ‘start, sustain and grow’.

Fully funded by the East Midlands Combined County Authority, the two-year Start & Sustain programme is designed to support both aspiring entrepreneurs and businesses in their first two years of trading, helping them build the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to succeed.

The programme is open to individuals thinking about starting a business., businesses, sole traders and self-employed individuals trading for less than two years and entrepreneurs from all backgrounds and sectors.

With personalised support and practical guidance, Start & Sustain aims to help more people start successful businesses and give new enterprises the confidence to grow and thrive.

Participants will benefit from support across a wide range of topics, including business planning, finance and funding, marketing and branding, digital skills, sales and customer acquisition, leadership and management and business growth planning
