The latest Bondholder appointments and promotions

Rothera Bray, Flint Bishop and the Chatsworth Estate, which is part of the Devonshire Group, are among the latest Marketing Derby Bondholders to announce new appointments.

Law firm Rothera Bray has strengthened its commercial property offering in Derby with the appointment of experienced property solicitor Ed Postlethwaite as managing associate.

Ed brings nearly 20 years of experience advising businesses, investors, developers and landlords across a broad range of commercial property matters.

He advises clients on sales and acquisitions, commercial leases, property management issues and property finance transactions, supporting businesses at every stage of their property journey.

Law firm Flint Bishop has strengthened its real estate offering with the appointment of property litigation specialist James Parden as a partner.

James joins the firm’s dispute resolution team from BRM Solicitors, where he served as a director, bringing more than 20 years of experience advising businesses, developers, investors and landowners on complex commercial and residential property disputes.

He acts for a broad client base spanning international developers, financial institutions, listed companies, universities, retailers, managing agents and private landlords.

His practice covers the full spectrum of property litigation matters, including landlord and tenant disputes, development-related issues, possession claims, rights of way and easements, dilapidations, restrictive covenants and contentious asset management matters.

Finally, the Chatsworth Estate, which is part of the Devonshire Group, has announced the appointment of Maroun El Houkayem as its first Devonshire Collections Research Fellow.

Supported by an Art Fund grant, the appointment marks an important milestone as Chatsworth launches a new model of research within the Devonshire Collections, combining rigorous scholarship with public engagement and storytelling.

Over the next 18 months, beginning on 17 August, Maroun will lead research into the Ancient and Classical holdings within the Devonshire Collections.

He will investigate the provenance and journeys of objects, develop detailed object biographies and explore the social, cultural and political contexts in which these works were collected, exchanged and displayed.

His research will help Chatsworth build a stronger understanding of the histories embedded within the collection while informing future research and programming.
