Urban village project earns regional recognition

A £100 million urban village project backed by Derby City Council and delivered by Compendium Living and Lovell Partnerships has received regional recognition.

Castleward was highly commended in the Residential Regeneration Project of the Year at Insider’s Midlands Residential Property Awards.

Located between Derbion and the railway station, it is a long-term placemaking project, being delivered over a period of 15 to 20 years.

Once complete, Castleward will provide around 700 new homes, as well as green space and nearly 35,000 sq ft of commercial retail space.

Planning permission has recently been granted for the fifth phase of the scheme.

Castleward was among 54 projects, companies, deals, to compete for prizes at the awards, which celebrate the region’s thriving housebuilding sector.
