Marina set to boost retail offer with new additions

Mercia Marina is set to boost its retail offer with the addition of a renowned butcher and an artisan bakery.

The Green Door Bakery and The Greedy Pig have agreed terms to open at the marina’s new landmark waterfront development The Promenade.

Founded in Yoxall, Staffordshire, The Green Door Bakery has built a loyal following for its artisan breads, handcrafted pastries and freshly prepared food.

For The Greedy Pig, the move to the marina, near Willington, marks something of a homecoming, with the owner previously based in nearby Repton.

It will not only offer locally sourced and reared quality meats but will also feature a premium delicatessen.

“Both businesses have fantastic reputations and loyal customer bases, and they perfectly complement the independent, experience-led environment we continue to create at Mercia Marina.”
