Ascentant Accountancy is offering free advice sessions to employees affected by redundancy at troubled manufacturer Denby Pottery.

At the end of March, the 217-year-old business went into administration, putting hundreds of jobs at risk.

Kevin Drew, founder and chief executive of Ascentant Accountancy, said: “This news continues to be deeply felt across the local community, and we recognise that many employees are still processing what this means for their future.

“Denby Pottery has been a cornerstone of the area for so long, and it is incredibly sad to see it facing these challenges. Our thoughts remain with everyone affected.

“For those now considering their next steps – whether that involves new employment or exploring the possibility of starting their own business – we want to offer practical support and reassurance during what is a very uncertain time.”

Ascentant is offering free initial advice sessions to any employees affected by redundancy who are considering starting their own business or exploring self-employment.

It is encouraging individuals to reach out for informal guidance and support as they navigate their next steps.
